I was accepted to Ball State University, attended my first Winter Jam, had a wonderful Valentine’s day, and started a young adults group with 2 of my best friends!

Ball State Acceptance

Currently I am in the Ivy Tech ASAP program which means that in May I will receive my Associate’s Degree from Ivy Tech after only 11 months of classes. Through Ivy Tech, I have learned so many different skills and topics and grown so much through my confidence in public speaking. In this Ivy Tech ASAP Program, I’ve definitely learned a lot about myself, my limits, and my goals
Sometime near May, I’ll share with you all an awesome ASAP Program promotional video that I’m putting together for Ivy Tech! In that video it will have a bunch of fun pictures, videos, and testimonials from the 2017-2018 Muncie Ivy Tech ASAP students. I’ve worked really hard in this program and have done so much better in college than I had in high school. I’m extremely proud of myself and also so grateful to everyone who are helping make that possible.
I applied to Ball State University in December and received my acceptance letter in January! I was very excited and made a very dorky little video about it that I posted on my social media to share the awesome news with my friends. Asher, Jordan, and I go to Ball State’s Late Nite events very often so it will be awesome to have another one of us with a Ball State ID so we can invite more people with us to the Late Nite events
I’m super excited to dive into the world of the Marketing majors. I’ve already followed many of their social media outlets and played around with all of the Ball State programs that I have access to so that once I start college there, I will be able to easily transition without many tech issues. Lately, I’ve also been looking into their abroad trips because I’ve decided that I would like to go on at least 2 abroad trips before graduating from Ball State so I can have a better view of the world.

Winter Jam

On Saturday, February 10th, my mom and I went to our first ever Winter Jam! My boyfriend, Asher, decided to bless us by making Saturday a whole day of fun! First, we drove to Noblesville and checked out the Hamilton Town Center a bit, we decided to check out Bed, Bath, and Beyond as we waited for our table to be ready
I had a gift card for that store and since we don’t have one in Muncie, I thought it would be great to check out, plus I hadn’t been inside one of their stores for years so I didn’t even remember what all they had to offer. I didn’t end up buying anything from there yet, but it was fun to look around in!
After Bed, Bath, and Beyond, our table was ready at Tucanos so we went and had a wonderful meal there. Tucanos is a restaurant where they bring around multiple types of meat on skewers that if you have your little cylinder sign turned over onto green they come to your table and offer you the type of meat they have on their skewer but if you have it on red they will skip over your table.
After Tucanos we headed to Winter Jam and got stuck in traffic to find a parking garage for about 20 minutes. After we got to out parking spot we walked about two or three blocks to get in line for Winter Jam which was about three blocks long. When we had gotten inside we walked around the building to get a feel for who all is going to be there and where all everyone’s booth is that we might want to buy cool things from. When we got done looking around we went to our seats and joined up with a few friends. After awhile of watching bands perform they had an intermission that allowed people enough time to go get refreshments or to the bathroom
Winter Jam was so fun! There were so many different bands, speakers, and a comedian. It was so inspiring to see such a large congregated group of individuals all there to worship and praise God. I was so very proud of Asher at this event because he decided to sponsor a child. It was an extremely moving event and I can’t wait for next year!
