Hello there! I'm in Design 1 at Ball State now, so I'll be posting some fun blogs about that this semester! You can see them all under the category of "BSU JOUR234."
On a personal level though, I’ll more than likely stick to Weebly for my online portfolio and blog. For a robotics team that I mentor, I’ll continue to use and work on and at some point teach my WordPress skills as we currently use that host site for our website. I had just unfortunately not understood how to control and edit our robotics site until this class. So, I’ll definitely continue to work on and improve those skills. I also believe that it gives me a competitive advantage to know how to use and operate so many different styles of website design.
On September 28th, we had a guest speaker during my JOUR 206, Digital Media course. Nick Siano came and spoke to our class about his job at USA Today, the universal newspaper organization that is in charge of numerous newspaper chains such as the local newspaper, The Star Press. The top 3 topics that intrigued me the most from his presentation was Analytics devices, SEO, and visual preferences from their large audience source

From newspapers, radios, tv, cell phones to the world wide web and internet – the world is constantly evolving with new ideas to present the same information. The beginning of newspapers in the United States was in 1690. The Department of Defence took part in the creation of the World Wide Web. Web 2.0 evolved from the first version of the web to a more user-friendly space open for creativity. Although Web 2.0 is still relatively new, Web 3.0 is already in the works of creation.
Every year that I have had the opportunity to visit my grandparents in Texas (this year we went to Las Vegas for a week as well), there has always been one particular thing that hits me really hard... Homelessness.
I was accepted to Ball State University, attended my first Winter Jam, had a wonderful Valentine’s day, and started a young adults group with 2 of my best friends!
Happy New Year!!This special post doesn’t have a timestamp so I just have to tell you that it was posted at midnight (Eastern Standard Time)! This year New Years Eve fell on a Sunday and if you know me personally, you know that every Sunday I go over to my Great-Grandma’s house for dinner and family fun (and also to catch up on homework). So of course, my family and I spent New Year’s at my Great-Grandma’s house! I think it’s such a wonderful way to ring in the new year surrounded by my family with an addition of my boyfriend (who has become an addition to our family).
This post is a personal essay titled “Just Be.” I wrote this personal essay as a Creative Writing project. It was inspired by several spoken word poems. It’s about love, patience, forgiveness, kindness, breathing, learning, and acknowledgement. I hope you enjoy it, please leave comments below either adding onto this piece or just leaving your own opinion!
